Nepal Internship and Volunteer Services program provide interns opportunity to teach English language in a public, private or community school of Nepal as a volunteer.They can also coach to those students in an individual basis who are eager to improve their conversational English skills. Interns will be working primarily as instructors of English in the school. They may also be asked to assist in other activities of the school, such as sports and extra-curricular programs. S/he will assist interns with teaching methods and offer advice on solving communication problems. S/he will also assist you to provide suitable curricula for the classroom, if required.

Each year, hundreds of children leave their family and rush to crowded cities in Nepal. Most of these children are compelled to work as child laborers in restaurants, factories, and hotels without getting proper attention, love, care, and the opportunity for education. Internship and Volunteer Service intends to support these street children providing them proper attention, education, and health facilities. We choose one of the orphanages for our volunteer and mange to look after him/her in an appropriate atmosphere. Volunteers will be arranged lacement in urban or rural areas wherever they like.

A large number of Nepalese never receive proper health care. Many of the health centers of rural areas are not adequately staffed. Nepal Internship and Volunteer Service program aims to provide health care for disadvantaged and marginalized people living in any part of the country. Under health care program, volunteers may participate in health services and support hospital programs such as record keeping, sanitation, nutrition, or treatment of minor injuries.

The Cultural Study (home-stay) program provides an opportunity to our interns to learn about various aspects of Nepali culture, lifestyle, language, food, tradition, and people. During the study period, interns will stay with a Nepali family in a small rural village or within a city. As an intern, you will attend 2 hours of language lessons in the morning and in the afternoon. It would be also an opportunity for you to share your own culture and customs to your host family.

This program provides you an opportunity to help in a wide range of practical village-based projects. This is a unique program for the group volunteers from schools and universities. The Social Work & Rural Development program include activities and projects as basic as helping needy people or painting a community based school building. In this program, you will be working with other volunteers in small groups, usually with minimal supervision. You can also work alongside villagers, learning about traditional methods of building and working.

Yoga is an ancient science to develop the body, explore the mind, and evolve spiritually. It is a way of life that integrates the body, mind, and spirit. Nepal Internship & Volunteer Service offers you different yoga and meditation courses too. In this program, you will stay with a Nepali family nearby a meditation center or Yoga Guru. We will assign you a yoga center or instructor and you will have to visit the center or instructor every morning.

Nepal has been facing some major environmental problems such as deforestation, land fragmentation, and desertification. Natural conservation program supports on establishing community nursery and distributing indigenous tree seedlings at free of cost to local farmers, schools, and communities. As a conservation volunteer, you will be supporting the activities of this community nursery in different parts of Nepal. You will involve yourself in the activities such as digging, filling plastic bags, weeding, irrigating in the nursery. Volunteers working in a conservation project also support the nearby vegetable gardens that produce vegetables for local orphanages. This project is suitable for outdoor enthusiasts and eco-minded individuals.
In Nepal, a long period of neglect caused by the civil war has resulted in pushing an alarmingly high number of the population to the verge of extinction. Human rights violations committed by the state security agencies, police, and other politically affiliated units continue even today. In this context, we highly encourage interns and volunteers to enroll themselves in this program and raise the voice of the voiceless people. Under this program, interns/volunteers will get opportunity to work with human rights organizations and to know the issues of human rights violations.
